Itineraries and Stories of the Sella

Our boat tours focus primarily on showcasing the natural heritage of the Gulf of Angels, at the center of which stands an unmistakable limestone promontory known to all as the Devil's Saddle.

The itineraries we offer focus mainly on discovering this part of the territory so dear to the people of Cagliari, from a perspective that is seen and experienced from the sea.

Let's take an imaginary journey through this space, covering what will be the main stages of our boat tour:

We will mainly depart from two points within the port of Cagliari. The first is at Marina del Sole, located between Parco del Nervi and the Su Siccu seafront promenade, at the foot of Bonaria, the most famous basilica in the Sardinian capital. Alternatively, depending on the weather, we may depart from Via Roma, the beating heart of the historic districts.

We will leave behind the ancient town of Cagliari facing west and sail along the coast towards the Sant'Elia promenade, past the old fishing village to reach our first stop, Cala Bernat.

Hidden between the rocky walls of Sella del Diavolo and accessible only by sea, Cala Bernat is a wild and unspoiled gem, far from tourist circuits and the noise of the city. Crystal clear water, turquoise reflections, and seabeds rich in marine life make this small cove a paradise for those who love authentic nature and extraordinary emotions. Here you will not find golden sand or equipped beach establishments: you will find silence, the scent of the sea, and the pure beauty of an unspoiled corner of the coast. During our boat trips, we will take you to discover this hidden place, where you can swim in transparent waters, relax on rocks smoothed by time, and feel, for a moment, out of this world.

We will continue our journey past the Scoglio di Sant'Elia rock, rounding the cape of the same name and the lighthouse that welcomes boats approaching after sunset, until we reach our second stop, Calamosca, a beach much loved by the people of Cagliari.

Calamosca is one of the most beloved coves among the people of Cagliari, nestled between Capo Sant'Elia and Sella del Diavolo. Protected from the winds and surrounded by hills covered with Mediterranean scrub, this small bay offers an intimate and welcoming atmosphere, perfect for relaxing and letting yourself be lulled by the sea. its calm, transparent waters, shallow seabed, and spectacular view of the Calamosca Tower make it an ideal stop for those who want to take a refreshing dip or discover the authentic charm of the Cagliari coastline. A short distance from the city but far from the hustle and bustle, Calamosca is the perfect spot from which to watch the Sella del Diavolo (Devil's Saddle) stand out on the horizon, letting yourself be carried away by stories, legends, and the scent of salt. During our boat tour, Calamosca becomes a special place to stop, swim, or simply watch the sun dance on the water.

We resume our journey towards the former animal facility, now a beach resort and restaurant with breathtaking views, passing Punta di Murr'e Porcu to discover Cala Fighera.

Enclosed between the sheer cliffs of Capo Sant'Elia and the Mediterranean scrub of Sella del Diavolo, Cala Fighera is one of the most evocative and wild coves on the Cagliari coast. A small natural amphitheater where the sea becomes deep and intense, and the sounds of the city seem to belong to another world. Known for years as the "nudist beach," Cala Fighera is now a favorite destination for those seeking silence, authenticity, and connection with nature, far from the beaten tourist track. No bars, no umbrellas. Just smooth rocks, crystal clear water, and the scent of myrtle coming from the coast. The cove can also be reached by land with a little spirit of adventure, but it is by sea that it reveals all its hidden beauty: vertical walls descending into the blue, plays of light between the rocks, and a sense of total peace. During our excursion, Cala Fighera is an ideal stop for swimming in deep, transparent water, diving from the rocks, or simply letting yourself be lulled by the waves.

Let's set off again for another special stop, the Grotta dei Colombi (Cave of the Doves).

Located at the foot of Sant'Elia hill and accessible only by boat, the Grotta dei Colombi is a cave that looks like an imposing natural theater suspended between rock and water.

We continue northward, approaching the Gasole Pools.

A few minutes' boat ride away are the enchanting Piscine di Gasole: a stretch of unspoiled coastline where rocks sculpted by time form small pools of turquoise water. These natural pools take their name from the shape of the seabed, which creates transparent basins that are perfect for swimming, relaxing, and snorkeling in total tranquility. The sea here takes on incredible colors: from the lightest blue to the deepest blue, with shades that change depending on the light and the position of the sun. Accessible only by sea, the Piscine di Gasole are a hidden gem, invisible from land and completely immersed in the silence of nature. During our boat trip, we stop here for a refreshing dip overlooking the Gulf of Angels.

We conclude our boat tour with two unmissable stops, Marina Piccola and Poetto beach. These locations certainly need no introduction, as they are must-see destinations for anyone visiting the Sardinian capital or those who have always lived there.

At the foot of Sella del Diavolo, Marina Piccola is more than just a small port: it is a meeting place between the sea, tradition, and city life. A small landing place for fishing boats, sailboats, and motorboats, it is often the venue for events and shows on the sea. With its relaxed atmosphere, cafes, and the scent of salt and surrounding pine forests, Marina Piccola is also an oasis for those who love to stroll or admire the sunset overlooking the Gulf of Angels.

From here, seven kilometers of golden sand, clear waters, and a long promenade between historic establishments and the open sea begin: Poetto is Cagliari's beach par excellence, loved by generations of residents and tourists. From day to night, Poetto changes its appearance: in the morning, it is a paradise for those who play sports, swim, or stroll along the shore; at sunset, it turns golden and becomes the perfect backdrop for an aperitif by the sea and a seafood dinner.
